* The file 'TG500voi.sit.hqx' contains three sets of
patches for the TG500 (I suppose this works also
for the SY85), compressed with StuffIt and Binhexed.

- TG500 Factory

- SUPER (+ list of v/p names)

- TOP40 (+ list of v/p names)

you need the application MidiEx Mac to use the patches.

* The file 'TG500voi.zip' contains the same patches but in
MIDI format so you send them through your favourite sequencer.

This is the original file format as found somewhere on a Web
site (I can't remember which).

NB2: the set TOP40 is actually a set designed to
have the TG500 emulate a General Midi mode.
Of course, you don't get several drum kits,
     but it's all there.

Remember that you'll have to get rid of the
     sysex GM code 'FO 7E 7F 09 01 F7' if present,
and to introduce controllers 0 and 32 to select
the required voices once in 'multi' mode.

This is how it is done:

     - GM programs from 1 to 64, set controller 0 to 0,
and controller 32 to 32 and keep the program change.

     - GM programs from 65 to 128, set controller 0 to 0,
and controller 32 to 35, deduce 64 from the GM program
change to get the correct one for the TG500.

     - GM drum kit: only one, controller 0 to 0, controller
     32 to 32, and program change 63.

Have fun !
